The mess
Years of feature work had left the product with eleven button styles and no shared spacing. Every team shipped its own version of the same control, and users paid for it in confusion.
The fix was structural: one design system, one grid, one hierarchy that put the answer before the controls.
From sketch to system
We started on paper, fast and disposable, before committing anything to Figma. Sketching kept the team arguing about structure instead of pixels.
Each pattern earned its place by appearing in at least three real screens before it entered the library.

The new dashboard: headline metric first, the dense table earned its way below.

What changed
Time to first insight dropped 31%, and shipping new screens went from a debate to an assembly job. The system is now maintained by the whole product org, not one designer.
